Will a time tracker share my data with my employer?

Many time trackers will, because they were built for it. A large part of the category is sold to companies to monitor employees, which means the data is designed to flow upward to a manager. Mark is the opposite. It has no employer dashboard, no team view, no admin who can see your day, and your data never leaves your Mac. There is simply nothing to hand to anyone.

So the honest answer for Mark specifically is no, and it is structural, not a promise I could quietly break later.

A tool for you cannot also be a tool against you.

I am built for one person, which is you. The morning question and the end-of-day honesty are between you and your own machine. I will never report to your boss, because there is no mechanism for me to, and there is not going to be one.

The day you start hiding from your own focus tool is the day it stops working. So it has to be yours alone, and it is.
